Happy Birthday Scott!

Scott means Scotsman!

Scott celebrated  his 42nd birthday on May 9... we planned 6 months ago to spend it camping near the beach.  Almost canceled the reservations because Jordan could not come due to his Band Corp schedule.   But we shipped him out and he was gone from 8am -10:30pm anyway.  So it was a good thing we just went and celebrated without the 16 year old!

The Birthday events...

We took a beautiful bike ride on the beach trail.  About 2 miles to this location.

Our lunch destination for the birthday boy-- Half Moon Bay Brewery.

The sun-- shining so much we can't see the ocean... at least in the picture.  

I assure you it was a beautiful view.

Our drinks ...

Scott-- Pina Colada

Chance-- Shirley Temple

Karalene-- Mojito

All non-alcoholic people...

 the Mojito-- mint leaves, lime juice, lime syrup, and sparkling water-- very refreshing.

A very delicious lunch.  

Scott- cheeseburger.  Karalene- Clam Chowder.  Chance- Clam Chowder in a bowl.

The following happened while Scott took a LONG nap!

 Chance likes to do this... over and over again.

Almost to the tower... however it was not enough ump to make it fall

 He beefs up the trigger point.

Our Dinner-  We had a meal of steak, sour cream potatoes, and rolls... a birthday request

Scott's favorite cake--- yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

Note--- HIS favorite cake.  We laughed over how many times he has had others make that cake for me for my birthday.

Happy Birthday Scott.... it WAS a fun day and a glorious camping spot.

And to think it was only 34 miles away... I want to do that every weekend.  And I did have friend ask me if I would like to live at the beach... no, I just like being close enough to visit often.
