Here is the Proof, Jordan--I did not blog for a week!

It has been over a week since I have blogged.  I am still alive and nothing bad has happened to the family or anyone around us.  I just took a little break and I actually did have to do some housework during the few days I was at home with no place to be other then preparing for the next camping adventure.   So as much as I wanted to blog, I could not stand to hear my 15 year old say again, "Is that all you do is blog?!"  So I dragged my body from the lap top and forced myself to do yard work and clean the house...  See Jordan, your Mom does so much more then sit in front of the computer--

At this very moment I am sitting in front of our Airstream at the Bakersfield RV Resort.  We made our annual pilgrimage to Solvang for the 4th of July-- met up with my sister, Marlo and family and my brother, Duane and family for the parade, boogie boarding at the beach, BBQ at our campsite and fireworks in Solvang that were canceled....bummer!  But we totally understood since we thought we had escaped the North Cal fires, only land right into the big, big fire we could see glowing at night and smell its smoke and wake up to it's ash.  But I will write more about it at a later date.

We made a detour to attend my niece's baptism today and will head home in the morning.   And  then Jordan, Chance and I will be staffing at Webelos Day camp all next week,  so I am taking these few moments, to let you know that I am alive and kicking and hope to catch you all up-- besides journal our week.

Hi Karalene,
hope you guys made it home fine. Thanks for another fun 4th of July and for coming to Brianne's baptism. hope you guys don't get our sickness. I got it last night and Jared got it early this morning but still had to go to church. So today the kids seem to be feeling better, but we are not, fun fun.

I am so sad you got sick too... cross your fingers we are fine, would not be a good week for any of us to be sick. Nathan's Mom called and he is throwing up, but thinks, hopes, it is just his regular 5 days of lots of activity- then sick routine. He is working a camp also- so hope that is all it is.

Karalene these pictures are amazing. I told Wayne I want to go to Yosemite before the summer is over. We'll see if I get my wish! Tell Jordan & Scott good job! Looks like an impressive hike (one that I'm sure I'll never do)
