Hem the marching band pants!
Did this last year when I realized I could not figure out how to hem them and it was too late to send them to a tailor. Rule is that no length can be cut off-- and we had at least 8 inches of hem that had to be accommodated. Trick is that the side seam needs to be opened up to make it possible to hem. The duct tape did not work... by the end of the routine Jordan had duct tape hanging out and stuck on his legs and shoes. Pins would work better.
I used this picture for the Band Newsletter last week to remind parents to get the pants hemmed-- so this would not be them TODAY. Tonight they are marching for the first football game of the season... how many will be wearing duct tape? Not Jordan!
