An Early Christmas Gift

Welcome Sarah Ann-- daughter of  Trudi (Scott's sister) and Mike.    Born December 12, weighing in at 3lbs 3 ounces.  Mike said her head is just the size of a baseball.  Sarah and Trudi are doing well.   Trudi had gestational diabetes and this week she developed preeclampsia.   Her liver was showing signs of failure and so it was time for the baby to make her entrance.   They had chose not to know what the sex was... so it was a surprise.  Big brother Shad was hoping for a boy.  With Jordan we did not know his sex until a week before he was born.  Since I had in my mind boy and girl and was ready for either-- I felt like I had lost a girl!   So Shad, I can understand your disappointment-- but you will be such a great big brother for Sarah.

She is named after Trudi's mom, Sara Ann- who was named after her Grandmother, who was named after her Grandmother.   Sara, was named Sarah-- but somewhere along the way she lost her "H".  I think it works out good because as I write... you know who I am taking about Sara or Sarah!

Congratulations to Mike, Trudi, McKenna, and Shad.

(Kristen, my friend from Tennessee,  I noticed she shares your birthday!)

What a great Birthday! Welcome to the world, little one!
Ashtyn was born 6 weeks early. She was 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and didn't have any problems. She was a little slower to walk and crawl, but I think now that that's just part of her personality and not completely related to her premature status. Hope all is well with Sara!
