Happy 40th Anniversary Don and Ruth!

So that is weird to call them Don and Ruth-- I really wanted to say Mom and Dad!  Today is my parent's 40th Wedding Anniversary!  Married August 7, 1968 in the Los Angeles Temple.

I was talking to Scott and he said you mean their 50th?  Nope- their 40th, then he had this brain burst... you mean they had been married for 20 years when you and I got married and we have almost been married for 20 years (yes, coming up in March!)  Nothing like that to make you feel OLD!  Yes, our parents have always been OLD in our minds-- but to become OLD ourselves-- to0 hard to grasp!

1st Wedding Anniversary-- Aug 7, 1968
That is me, 3 weeks old, with my Dad!

My Mom and I

1975- After 3 brothers, I finally got a little sister!

Family Picture about 4 years ago- Wedding day of my youngest sister, Erica and husband Burdett.  We are a family of 8-- 4 girls, 4 boys!

At 4o years my parents have 8 daughters and daughters-in-law and 8 sons and sons-in-law.  They have 27 grandchildren and 2 more on the way.  What they would like the most for their 40th is to have all their children together for the celebration.  I wish I could grant them that wish.   If it was not for them being married 40 years ago--  this large family I have, would not be!

Love you Mom and Dad-- Happy 40th!

So I called my Mom and Dad and they went and watched 'Mama Mia' this afternoon for their Anniversary. I said did you enjoy it! Dad was like I enjoyed the music and Pierce singing. Really you did? He said, "Yes, he sings pretty good", Did anyone laugh while he was singing? "No" Well that was pretty funny Dad!

Did mom like it? "She thought it was vulgar" That's my Mom! Yes, there are some innuendo's!

Love my Parents!
