My 9 year old, Chance, is my scientist and we had been talking about what would happen to a Peep if we put it in the microwave. I promised I would show him a YouTube video, a video that was shared with me a few days earlier that I found funny. As he was going to bed last night... I remembered and we sat down together on his bed and watched the little clip of "What happens to a Peep in the Microwave". Well this is the part where myself as a parent wonders what was I thinking?!
Barely into the video he starts saying, "Are you trying to give me a Heart Attack?"
I stopped the video and have been dealing with the aftermath ever since, I am sure I will be dealing with it for the rest of the week.
Needless to say, I did not get a good nights sleep. It started with having to remove his Peeps from his room... to reading and talking to get his mind off the horror so he could sleep... to being woken in the middle of the night and spending the rest of my slumber snuggling up to him in his twin bed as he would slowly fall asleep and then wake up startled with wild eyes looking at the bedroom door.
Scott can't believe that I showed him the video... all innocent like he would never do that. Right... you would just show him a few "action" movies?!
The video... funny, however not so much for Chance!
Please do not bring any Peeps to our home.
They have been banned!

We just have to learn from our mistakes. The video must have been really scary.
my kids came into the room while I was watching it... they thought it was hillarious... (they just saw the last part, not the microwave part) but goes to show you that everyone is affected by things differently. Hope Chance is sleeping better now.
oh my gosh that was soo funny! i loved it!!!
