Last night we attended Jordan's last band concert for his freshman year. It was the first time Scott and I have been in the Amador Theatre. Although the outside has been remodeled they have kept the historical feel in the building right down to the space between the rows of seats. As soon as I sat down, I thought, I would hate to pay money to see one of the many performances they have in the building. It was built at time when people were shorter. I could sit with my knees right up to the edge of the chair in front of me... but Scott had to have his knees to each side. And to sit down or stand up was a feat. Try it, sit down and put another chair right up to your knees - now stand up- but do not learn over into the space of the person sitting in front of you. How did you do?
At least we sat in the balcony-- which was a good choice. The view was great and we got to see Jordan in the back row playing his trombone. And it was not crowded, so we could adjust our legs to a more comfortable position. All in all it was a nice evening with some great music.
