I was at a friends house today visiting and she had been busy cleaning and I knew she had been cleaning, because the house looked WOW. Her son was looking for his Math Book and they needed ink for the printer. All of which they knew where they used to be-- but due to cleaning up no one knew where it could be now.
So folks out there... I know some of you are clean and operate better in clean and hey, we all like clean. But for us creative thinkers, messing up our organization system by expecting us to clear off our piles-- just creates ... well, lost items.
In my home my husband is the have it clean guy-- I am the creative one! Not to say I do not like clean-- it is just not at the top of my priorities. So it has caused a bit of discord on occasion, to say it mildly, and some misplaced items. Last summer I could not find my sun hats. They used to be hanging on the shelving in the garage, very logical, useful place to me. Scott had cleaned the garage- said he did not touch them. Well I finally concluded he threw them away, he has no problem discarding items he has no use for. I-- on the other hand, have a hard time letting go. So I guess between the two of use we balance out... he he! So back to the hats-- I found them 8 months later in the attic inside a container of clothes marked 10- 14 boys, Yah... that makes sense. However, I was actually relieved to know that I still had them.
I don't think that my battery and charger have fell to the same scenario, electronics are highly valued in this house. As long as it is still in the house-- the chances are good that it's hiding place will be discovered eventually. Until then I will need to ask my kids if I can use their camera, I hope they say YES.
